I took over the writing and editing of a newsletter for the Greater Washington Coalition for Cancer Survivors (GWCCS) in 1994. I began the development of the website for GWCCS in the fall of 1998.

This effort was then assumed by the Sheahan family in 1999. I remain the vice president of this organization.

I founded and became the patient-facilitator of a Washington DC-area general cancer support group - “CanSurvive” - in March of 2004. In April 2004, I began a website for CanSurvive which can be seen by selecting the logo at the left.
